Lynn Studio
My Papa’s entrepreneurial dream
The building that is now the home of Lynn Studio, is from the early 1900’s and is located on what used to be called the “Super Highway” in Greer, South Carolina. Also known as Wade Hampton Boulevard.
My papa, Bab Lynn, bought the store, a house next to it, and the land in 1962. He added this side to the main building on, in 1965. He was a true entrepreneur. In this building alone, he had a grocery store, gas station, toy store, and power equipment store.
In early summer 2023, he asked me to make updates to the building, get the exterior painted and add a new roof. I got to use my inner Joanna Gaines and had a great time designing the exterior colors for the 100 year old building.
My family gutted my side of the store, repainted, pulled up carpet, installed new lighting, etc. A lot of blood sweat and tears went into this renovation.
He passed away on August 20, 2023 and he never got to see Lynn Studio finished. I wouldn’t be where I am today, if it weren’t for his drive. ambition, and his dream of owning his own business too.
